Musical Instrument Return and Cleaning
For all 5th, 6th and 7th grade students who will be returning to TCK-8 for the Fall of 2020 you will keep your instrument over the summer and return for use next Fall.
For our 8th graders (and any 5th,6th or 7th who is moving) - Return instruments on Thursday May 21st. Mr. Nixon will be posted up at the southwest entry closest to the Middle School Music Room. You simply need to drop the instrument off on the sidewalk at the southwest entry and Mr. Nixon will take it from there.
Devices Staying with Students Over the Summer
To best protect the health and safety of our students, their families, and our staff, all devices: . TechForEd, school iPads and other district devices should remain with students over the summer. Graduating seniors and students moving out of Jeffco over the summer are an exception to this guidance.
Leaving devices with students provides them the ability to access online learning over the summer if desired, including JSEL, high school credit recovery programs, already available digital education tools, and opportunities being created by the Educational Research and Design team. It also eliminates the difficult logistics of safely checking back in thousands of devices across the district and then potentially needing to check them back out again for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
Graduating seniors and any student leaving Jeffco Public Schools for the upcoming school year will need to return their iPads and chargers to their current school on these days. All other student devices should be kept over the summer including 8th grade devices.
Medications left at School
Area Nurse, Jill Rohweder will be on site for end of year pick up on Wednesday, May 20th and Amy Thompson, TCK8 Health Room Aide will be on site all day on Thursday, May 21st. They have all medications and supplies that are remaining for families that were unable to pick up last week. Identified families have been contacted and were instructed to let a staff member know when they come to pick up student materials that they also have a medication to pick up. Meds will be placed in vehicles per district protocol. Please let Jill know if you have further questions. [email protected]
